Hans F. Leck, age 81, of the Town of Nokomis, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 in Wausau. He was born January 26, 1928 in Merrill to the late Ludwig and Wilhelmenia Leck. He served in the United States Army/Air Corps during World War II. He was married to Dolores "Lorrie" Zastrow on January 27, 1950 in Dubuque, Iowa; she survives.
Hans and Lorrie lived in Wausau until permanently moving to Tomahawk in 1986. He was a charter member of the Wausau Area Builder's Association. He established Leck Construction, Inc. in 1960. He was known for the many homes he built for families in the Tomahawk and Wausau area. Hans was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Funeral Services for Hans Leck will be held Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 11 AM from St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate with Entombment to take place at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 8 from 4 PM until 7 PM at the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home, and again on Saturday at the church from 10 AM until the time of services. There will be a Military Tribute Service at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in Mr. Leck's name to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.
