Harold Wilson

Harold P. Wilson, 74, of Tomahawk, formerly of Burlington, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at his home. He was born on February 20, 1936 in Chicago IL to Harold W. and Barbara H. (nee Vry) Wilson. He grew up in Antioch IL and graduated from Antioch High School. He Served in the US Army from 1959 until 1961. On Dec. 12, 1959 he was united in marriage to Laura Hansen in Lake Villa IL. Following Marriage they made their home in Antioch until 1985. In 1986 they moved to Burlington where they resided until 2004 when they moved to Tomahawk. Harold was an upholsterer for over 40 years. He was the owner operator of the Skate Barn in Burlington for 20 years. When he was younger Harold was a member of the Jaycees. He belonged to two snowmobile clubs, the Haling Honkers in IL and the Snow Bums in Burlington. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying, roller hockey, motorcycles, and Snowmobiling. He was an Artist who especially enjoyed, stained glass, painting, and woodworking. Harold loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include: Wife Laura Wilson Children Deborah (Steven) Hartman James (Susan) Wilson Todd (Cheryl) Wilson Grandchildren Daniel and Jonathan Hartman, Joseph and Jeffrey Wilson, Scott(Crystal) and Amy Olson Great-grandchildren Jordan, Kendra, and Leeah Olson and Kayla Tanking. Harold is further survived by many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandmother. Funeral services for Harold Wilson will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 from United Methodist Church in Tomahawk. Pastor Allen Christensen will officiate. Memorials have been suggested to the Burlington Rescue Squad or the Tomahawk Rescue Squad.
