Harriet A. Kimmons, age 79, a longtime Tomahawk area resident, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Harriet was born on September 1, 1936 in Merrill to Hugh and Lydia (Genrich) Rankin. She married Leonard Kimmons on July 17, 1954 in Irma. Len passed away in 2011. Len and Harriet, with the help of their children, owned and operated the Watergate Super Club for 24 years. Harriet also worked as a CNA at Golden Age Nursing Home for 10 years. Harriet moved to Medford in 2012 and became active with the Medford Soup Kitchen, the VFW Auxialliary, and Lions Club. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and mowing lawns. Harriet especially enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include: 3 Daughters, Connie (Mike) Gerber Weston Jane (John) Antross Athens Jean (Randy) Pawlowicz Medford. Daughter-in-law, Pat Kimmons Wausau She is further survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Len, son, Forrest "Twig", a daughter, Beverly, and a brother, Graham Rankin. Funeral services for Harriet Kimmons will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 12 noon at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Gass will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in the town of Rock Falls. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home on Monday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at noon at the church. The family would appreciate memorials to Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church.
