Harriet LeClair, age 96, Tomahawk, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk.
Harriet was born July 4, 1918 in Whitehall, Wisconsin, the daughter of Gilbert and Agnes (Hanson) Baalrud. She was married to Merwin LeClair; he passed away in 1980. Harriet was raised in Tomahawk, and moved to Chicago after graduating from high school. She was employed in the electronics business in Chicago and Florida. She moved back to Tomahawk in 1981, where she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: children, Mildred DeWald, Diane (John) Jessica; grandchildren, Deborah (William) Schopa, John DeWald, Jr.; nephews, Kenneth (Donna) Krueger, Sacramento, California, Jerry (Sue) Krueger , Tomahawk, Danny (Linda) Krueger, Tomahawk. Harriet is further survived by seven great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, child - Orchid Healy, brother - Gerald Baalrud, and sister - Margaret Krueger.
Funeral Services for Harriet LeClair will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Gerald Check will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
