Helen Bastar

Helen Bastar, 97, of Phillips, passed away on Thursday, July 11th, 2024, at Lakeside Villa. She was born in Phillips, WI on January 20th, 1927, to James Peroutka and Mary (Rames) Peroutka.

Helen was lifelong resident of Phillips, but for a brief 12-year absence to live in the Chicago area and Southeast Idaho. She loved her sewing and gardening, and crossword puzzles with Richard. 

She is survived by her four children; Kathleen E Mignone, Richard Bastar, Robin Bastar and James Bastar, and 12 grandchildren, countless great grandchildren and at least one great-great grandchild. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard and her parents. 

Per her wishes, there will not be a formal service. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
