Herbert Peak

Herbert D. Peak, age 69, of N8011 S. Silver Lake Road, Irma, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk. Herb was born on May 19, 1938 to Carl and Aldean (White) Peak. He married Lavonne Sherwin on August 28, 1960 in Battle Creek, Michigan. He was a veteran, serving in the US Army. He had been a hematologist at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois for 39 years, retiring in 2003. Herb vacationed in Tomahawk for 30 years, moving here permanently in 2003. He loved John Deere Tractors and had restored a 1946LA. He enjoyed snowmobiling, water skiing, music, and singing. Herb was a member of both the Tomahawk and Downers Grove, Illinois 7th Day Adventist Churches. Survivors include: His wife, Lavonne Peak of Irma 1 Son, Evan (Rhonda) Peak Eau Claire, WI 1 Daughter, Charlyn (Jody) Marsh Mosinee, WI 1 Brother, Jerry (Kris) Peak Dunseith, ND 1 Sister, Marjorie Ohnewehr Anaheim, CA He is further survived by 5 Grandchildren. Justin, Elise, and Layton Peak, Adele and Jared Marsh. Funeral Services for Herbert Peak will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home. Pastor Reuel Bacchus will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 4 until 7:00 p.m. A Veterans Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday night. Memorials are appreciated to the American Parkinson Disease Association or Radio 74 International.
