Howard L. Sloan, age 92, formerly of Loop Road, Tomahawk, passed away Sunday morning at Golden Living-Golden Age Nursing Home in Tomahawk.
Howard was born on July 3, 1920 in Redfield, Iowa the son of Earl and Daisy (Moore) Sloan. He married Margaret H. Bootz on March 16, 1946 in Evanston, Illinois, she passed away in 2010. Howard was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. He was employed by Western Union as a maintenance technician and retired to Tomahawk in 1978. He was an avid ham radio operator, enjoyed fishing, and being out in nature. He was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.

4 Grandchildren, Anjelica, Leah, Gabriel, and Luke.

Funeral services for Howard L. Sloan will be held Thursday, June 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00. Military rites will be held in the church immediately before the funeral service at 11. The family would appreciate memorials to St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
