Ilene E. (Winters) Fry, age 93, of Tomahawk, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
Ilene was born on May 25, 1922 in Danbury, WI to Mont & Emma Walsh. Ilene was a graduate of Tripoli High School. Ilene worked for the War Department in Washington DC in 1942. The following year she worked for the Draft Board #1 in Milwaukee, where she met her first husband, Leon Winters. They were married in May of 1943. Together they had 3 children before Leon passed away in 1980. Ilene was a bookkeeper for Brantwood Dairy and later worked for the Family Clinic in Tomahawk. She served as a Treasurer and Clerk of the Town of Somo and also worked at the Clifford Co-Op Store for several years.In 1983, she married Ivan Fry; he preceded her in death in 2004. She is a former member of United Congregational Church in Tripoli.

She is further survived by 2 grandsons, Daniel & Brian King, 9 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.
Ilene is preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands Leon Winters and Ivan Fry, son Thomas Winters, one brother and one sister.
The Funeral Service for Ilene (Winters) Fry will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Krueger Family Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM. Burial will immediately follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery.
