Irene Hofmann

Irene R. Hofmann, formerly of Loop Road, Tomahawk, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at Golden Living Center-Golden Age in Tomahawk, one week shy of her 90th birthday. Irene was born on February 12, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Josephine (Borg) Badger. She was married to Edward C. Hofmann on July 2, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, he passed away in 2001. Irene was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, she enjoyed going to casinos for special occasions, spending holidays with her family, and being around people. Survivors include: Son, Karl (Sherre) Hofmann Tomahawk 2 Daughters, Renee (Roman) Steines Cumberland, WI Nancy (Vaclav) Hauptman Wausau Irene is further survived by 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister. Funeral Services for Irene will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. John Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in the spring. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11.
