Irma Hanson

Irma S. Hanson, age 104, formerly of 9637 Ross Road, Tomahawk passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Golden Living- Riverview in Tomahawk. Irma was born on June 8, 1903 in Milwaukee to Herman and Augusta Bantlin. She was married to Herbert T. Hanson on May 15, 1930 also in Milwaukee, he passed away in 1983. Irma was born and raised in Milwaukee. She had been a 20 year employee of Gimbals-Schuster Department Store in Milwaukee. She moved to Tomahawk in 1995. Irma enjoyed fishing, yahtzee and doing crossword puzzles. She was a member of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: 4 Nephews, Donald (Liz) Bartelt Montello, WI Pete (Emily) Scheffler Tomahawk John Hanson, Jr. Milwaukee Jerome Hanson Whitefish Bay, WI 5 Great Nephews, Dennis, Daniel, Dale Bartelt, William Scheffler and Paul (Jessica) Scheffler. Irma is further survived by 16 Great great nieces and nephews and 3 great great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral Services for Irma Hanson will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Gass will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee. The family will receive friends at the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home on Friday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11.
