J. J. Schiltz

Jeanette “J.J.” Schiltz, age 59, of Tomahawk, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

J.J. was born on July 22, 1959 shortly after her parents moved to the United States from Germany. She was married Robert Lee Schiltz on October 13, 1981 in Woodstock, IL. J.J. worked at a hotel when she met her husband, Bob. Shortly after they were married, they moved to Tomahawk where they owned and operated 4 Corners Tap for many years. After Bob passed away in 2010, J.J. devoted her time volunteering at many non-profits. She volunteered locally at the Tomahawk Food Pantry and the Salvation Army. J.J. was deeply invested in the Girl Scouts of America, having served at various titles, most recently as treasurer. She was also known as a wonderful seamstress and also formerly worked as a bakery manager at IGA. J.J. was a member at Grace Lutheran Church.

JJ is survived by her grandson – Dustin Schiltz of Tomahawk. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband – Bob.

The Funeral Service for J.J. Schiltz will take place at 2:00PM on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church. Pastor Mark Ziemer will officiate. Visitation will take place from 11:00AM until the time of service at 2:00PM. Burial will take place in Prairie Rapids Cemetery immediately following the service.
