James “Jim” A. McIlnay, age 78 of Minocqua, WI died on Thursday, November 12th at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI. Jim was born on August 11, 1942 in Chicago, IL the son of Velmer and Gertrude (nee Green) McIlnay. Jim married Constance Czarny on April 1, 1967, she survives.
Jim worked for 40 years as a Lithographer before retiring to the Northwoods. Jim enjoyed driving his John Deere, going to car shows in his 1941 Ford Convertible. He met many dear friends through their common interest in car shows. He enjoyed the Northwoods and time spent with his family and friends on Mercer Lake and his “little dog” Casey.
He is survived by his wife Connie and by his daughter Vicki (Tory) Mascolino and by grandchildren Allison, Sean, Joseph Mascolino and Austin and Victoria Kurisu. Jim was “PA” to his grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings and in laws; Betty Stygar, Nancy (Jim) Cicero, Carol Rafalski and Elizabeth Czarny and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Velmer and Gertrude, his daughter Jennifer Kurisu, his Father and Mother in law Stanley and Lottie “Busia” Czarny and by his sister Joan McIlnay, brothers in law Rich Rafalski and Terry Czarny.
Visitation for Jim will be held on Saturday, November 21st from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff, WI with burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation-Illinois.
