James J. Bronsted, 82, of 1808 E. King Road, Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 under the care of Ministry Home Hospice at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital surrounded by his family.
Jim was born on July 14, 1933 in Tomahawk to Carl and Julia (Johnson) Bronsted. He married Nancy Plautz on November 25, 1954 also in Tomahawk. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and later in the National Guard and Army Reserves for a total of 22 years of military service. Jim was formerly employed at Tomahawk Power and Pulp and later at Owens-Illinois Tomahawk Mill for many years, retiring in 1995. He had served as Grand Master at the Tomahawk Masonic Lodge, he was a lifetime American Legion and VFW member, he was one of the original Tomahawk High School Booster Club members, and he enjoyed golfing at the Edgewater Country Club. Jim & Nancy vacationed in St. Simons Island, Georgia for 20 years. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jim is further survived by 4 grandchildren, Jenna, Siri, Travis, and Jill and 3 great grandchildren, Mya, Autumn, and Aspen. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Lorna, Helen, and Dorothy.
Memorial Services with military rites for Jim Bronsted will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Ziemer will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Memorials for Jim will be given to Grace Lutheran Church. The Krueger Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
