James G. Calhoun, age 73, passed away on February 6, 2015, at the Golden Living - Golden Age Nursing Home under the care of Ascera Care Hospice.
Jim was born in Spirit Falls, on January 5, 1942 to Robert & Florence (Johnson) Calhoun. He married Beverly Marvin on April 28, 1963, in Tomahawk. Jim was employed in his earlier years with Johnson Brothers and then with Oscar J. Boldt Construction, before becoming self-employed as JG Calhoun Construction. Jim enjoyed excavating on his skid steer loader and in his earlier years, deer hunting. He was a former member of the Tomahawk School Board. Jim loved animals and doing things outdoors but what was most important to him, was his family.

Jim is further survived by 9 grandchildren.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers, Dick, Robert, Elmer, Chuck, Don and George; and 2 sisters, Deanna and Mary Lou.
The Celebration of Jim Calhoun's Life will take place at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church, of Tomahawk. Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of service at 12:00PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated.
