James E. Rehm, 79 of Minocqua, WI and a lifelong resident of the Lakeland area died on Wednesday, September 23rd at his residence. Jim was born on June 18, 1941 in Rhinelander, WI the son of Thomas and Evelyn (nee Elliott) Rehm. He graduated from Lakeland Union High School in 1959 and worked for Wisconsin Public Service for many years.
Jim was a hunter safety instructor for over 50 years and very active with the Northwoods Deer Hunt Challenge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, gunsmithing and metal working in his shop. He also helped coach women’s league softball and volleyball.
Jim is survived by his children David Rehm, Brian (Vicki) Rehm and Laura Miesbauer and by grandchildren Emily Rehm, Abbey (Kyle) Garrett, Eric Miesbauer, Nicholas Rehm and Daniel Miesbauer and by great granddaughter Natalie Garrett. He is further survived by his siblings Richard Rehm of Lake Tomahawk, WI; Robert (Peggy) Rehm of Kentucky, John (Phyllis) Rehm of Arbor Vitae, WI and Ruth Rehm of Woodruff, WI and sister in law Barbara Rehm and by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Evelyn Rehm, his infant brother David, sister Mary Smith and brother Lawrence “Beezer” Rehm.
Cremation took place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
