James Ignace Aschenbrenner
James I. Aschenbrenner, 76, Township of Worcester, died on Monday February 16, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
He was born on April 16, 1938, in Marshfield, the son of Ignace and Eleanor (Eggebrecht) Aschenbrenner. He attended and graduated from Columbus High School, Marshfield Class of 1956. He was married to Lana M. Nienast on June 27, 1969, in Marshfield.. They celebrated over 45 years of marriage. He was employed as a purchasing agent in the housing industry aand then as the head custodian at Marshfield Senior High School for over 20 years prior to his retirement in 2000.Following their retirement they made their home at their cottage on Solberg Lake in Phillips
In his free time he enjoyed playing softball, fishing, hunting and bowling. He and his wife Lana traveled throughout all of the lower 48 states. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, friends, and his grand dog Bruno. He will be loved and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife Lana, Township of Worcester, by 3 children: Jeff, West Salem, Wi., Jenee Henning, Altoona, Wi., and Pam Ackerman, Boscobel, Wi., by 7 grandchildren: Codi, Cortlyn, Devyn, Jacob, Robert, Kyle and Karyn., by 1 great grandson Ryland James, by 1 brother: Charles (Darla) Aschenbrenner, and by 2 sisters: Karen (Robert) Rassmussen, all of Marshfield, and Sue (Darwin) Schiller, Tomahawk, and many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 20, 2015, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips, with Fr. Gerald Hagen officiating Inurnment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, in the spring. Friends may call after 10:00 A.M. on Friday at the church until the time of the service.
