James F. Lembezeder, 86, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away February 27, 2008 at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse.
Jim was born September 4, 1921 in Muskego to Michael and Frances (nee Malia) Lembezeder. He was raised in the Muskego area and following high school entered the U.S. Army, serving in WWII. Jim married Rita Tobianski on October 11, 1947; she passed away in 2003. He owned and operated Jim's Tavern in Muskego for 15 years, and later opened Lembezeder Oil Company in Darlington, which he ran until his retirement in 1982. Jim moved to Tomahawk in 1995, where he lived until moving to Onalaska in 2006. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk.

2 Daughters Jane (Tom) Treglowne of Onalaska Judy (Terry) Lancaster of Black Earth
2 Sons James (Melinda) Lembezeder of Yuma, Arizona John (Jen) Lembezeder of Peosta, Iowa
Jim is further survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Rita, and 2 brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim Lembezeder will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. A Veteran Service will precede Mass. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m.
