Jane Livingston-Ballou, 64, of Merrill, WI passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 suddenly and unexpectedly and without suffering. Jane is survived by her devoted husband Cecil Ballou, daughter Amy Slone (Daniel), son Scott Roberts, grandchildren Bowen and Oyouka Slone and many dear friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Alice Livingston, sister Diane Hanson, brother Dick Livingston, sister Judy and many beloved relatives. Jane was born in Dodgeville, WI and was raised in Sheboygan, WI. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Education and taught English as a Second Language for many years in the Madison Public School District. Jane thrived on learning and as an adult she also became a Medical Transcriptionist, Travel Agent, Holistic Nutritionist and Paralegal just for fun. She is remembered for her open, accepting lovingness, for her giving nature always ready to help anyone, for her determination and practicality and for her uncanny ability to get on a laughing jag with friends and family. Jane shared of herself fully and will be missed by the many people whose lives she has enriched.
Memorial service will be held at the Manitowish Waters Community Church on Saturday July 23, 2016 with visitation at 2:30pm, service at 3:00pm with light reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Kate Education Scholarship Fund could be mailed to: Dr. Kate Museum 923 2nd Ave, Woodruff, WI 54568.
