Jane V. Doerfler

Jane V. Doerfler 81 of Arbor Vitae, passed away peacefully on Monday January 14th, 2013 with her family at her side. Jane was born January 29, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI to Walter and Rose (Hackbarth) Radke. Jane graduated from North Division High School in Milwaukee, WI While living in Milwaukee, Jane enjoyed her position as a Case Worker at the Milwaukee County Welfare Department where she received great fulfillment at being able to assist those in need. Jane also acquired many wonderful friends during her career there. After she married Frank L. Doerfler on March 24, 1978 they settled in Arbor Vitae, WI where they enjoyed their home on beautiful Sumach Lake. Jane worked for Save More Foods and also for Avery Smith Accounting in her early years in the Lakeland Area. She also volunteered at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff and Ascension Lutheran Church in Minocqua. Jane loved to bake and knit for her family. Jane was preceded in death by her husband Frank L. Doerfler on February 16, 2011, her daughters Gail J. Jozwiak on December 29, 2007 and Jackie I. Ryan on January 20, 2011. Jane is survived by her children Craig (Sue) Martinez of West Bend, WI, Sandy (Bill) Kalmakoff of Woodruff and Keri (Jeff) Woods of Presque Isle and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church 7937 Hwy 51 S in Minocqua at 11:00 am on Saturday January 19, 2013 followed by a brief graveside service at Forest Gardens Cemetery in Woodruff, WI with Rev.
