Jean Stavros

Jean Stavros, age 84, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away September 1, 2007 at her home in Denver, Colorado. Jean was born in Chicago on August 30, 1923. She was an "American Mother" to Unni Rustad - an exchange student from Norway, and a foster mother to high school student Bruce Thames. Survivors include: 3 children A. Thomas (Margaret) Stavros Sandra Marie (Jon) Hittman Robert William (Fiona) Stavros 8 grandchildren Rebecca Lutz Stavros, Sarah Elizabeth Stavros, Charles August Stavros, Anne Margaret Stavros, Josh (Erin) Hittman, Samantha (Brian) Duwe, Erica Natasha Stavros, and Ian Thomas Stavros 1 sister Barbara Schmidt of Arlington Heights, IL 1 brother Donald (Lois) Brown of Tomahawk Graveside Services for Jean Stavros will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Prairie Rapids Cemetery in the Town of Nokomis. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the senior groups at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado, or that you do one act of friendship and kindness to continue in the world.
