JEANETTE C. DELEASKY
Jeanette “Jean” C. DeLeasky, 85, Phillips, longtime Town of Emery resident died on Monday, December 18, 2107, at the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home, Phillips, while under the care of Flambeau Home Health Care and Hospice and her family.
She was born on May 7, 1932, in Park Falls, the daughter of Peter and Ethelle (Smith)
Schmidtke. She made her home with her family in Mellen as a child.
She attended and graduated from Mellen High School, Class of 1950. She was married to Edgar DeLeasky on August 18, 1951, in Park Falls. They recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. She worked with her husband Edgar in the family business, DeLeasky Bros. until the time of their retirement. In her free time she enjoyed bowling, cooking, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends. She was active in many
community projects.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Phillips.
She is survived by her husband Edgar, Phillips, by 4 children: Ronald (Janette) DeLeasky, Joyce (Dale) Grant, and Peter (Shannon) DeLeasky, all of Phillips, and Wayne (Melissa) DeLeasky, Elk Mound, Wi., by 9 grandchildren: Travis (Karen) DeLeasky Chad (Natalie) DeLeasky Lindsay DeLeasky, Ross Grant, Ashley Grant, Katie Reinke, Joseph DeLeasky, Benjamin DeLeasky, and Dakota (Tonya) Deleasky., by 12 great grandchildren, by 3 brothers: Lyle (Karen) Schmidtke, Fond Du Lac, Wi., Robert Schmidtke, Milwaukee, and Ken (Barb) Schmidtke, Loudon, Tenn., and by 3 sisters: Laura Hinton, Park Falls, Pat (Arnie) Hilton, Milwaukee, and Betty Monoz, Anaheim, Ca.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by 2 sisters: Helen Nelson and Dorothy Christianson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, Phillips, with Pastor Glenn Sokolowski officiating. Inurnment will be in the Emery Cemetery, Township of Emery in the spring. Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. on Friday, December 22, 2017, at the church until the time of the service.
