Jeanette Delores Klemme

Jeanette D. Klemme, age 87, a longtime resident of Harshaw, WI formerly of Stratford, WI passed away on July 5, 2017 at Ministry St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston, WI

Jeanette was born on March 2, 1930 in Stratford to the late Ben and Mary (Obernberger) Weigel. She attended Stratford Public Schools. On May 14, 1949, she married Ardell Klemme. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2011.

Jeanette was well known for her love of antiques and refinishing furniture. She also loved living on Big Bearskin Lake and cultivating her flowers and garden. She enjoyed many trips to Canada fishing with Ardell and friends at Sand Lake, and traveling throughout the US and Mexico. Jeanette especially enjoyed sports, watching Packer and Badger games with enthusiasm. She sponsored several scholarships at Stratford High School and were generous in her support of numerous charities.

Jeanette is survived by Son; Steve (Leslie) Klemme, Daughter; Marie Rueth and Grandchildren; Christina and Ardell Klemme, Kevin Rueth and Jennifer Klemme and Great Granddaughter; Ashlin Klemme. She is also survived by her Brothers; Harold “Deek” (Edith) Weigel and James (Mary) Weigel both of Stratford, her Sisters: Marian Drexler of Marshfield and Carolyn Hanneman of Wisconsin Rapids and many nieces and nephews. Jeanette is also survived by many caring friends and neighbors in addition to her furry, feline companion, Dyno.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband; Ardell, her parents; Ben and Mary Weigel and Son; Tom Klemme and Sister and Brother in-law; Bernice (Arthur) Steczynski, Brother-in-law; Leonard Drexler, Daughter-in-law; LuAnn Klemme and Son-in-law; Robert Rueth.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 11th at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff, WI with a visitation from 10:00 AM till time of service at the church. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery in Harshaw, WI.
