Jenaette Irene Tenut Peissig, 83, of Phillips died at Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips while under the care of Flambeau Home Health and Hospice, on Thursday, March 24, 2016. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Jeanette was born on August 7, 1932, to Oliver and Loretta Larsen. She was married to Alfred Tenut, who preceded her in death on December 26,1987. She then married Herbert Peissig in 1992, who has preceded her in death on February 19, 2014.
Jeanette spent her life helping others, by working at Pleasant View Nursing Home for many years.
After marrying Herb, Jeanette and Herb spent many afternoons gardening and cutting boughs. When she wasn’t outside she loved playing cards and doing crossword puzzles.
Jeanette is survived by her four sons, Alan (Trudy), Larry (Beth), Dale (Sue), Bruce (Sue). Her grandchildren: Nathan Tenut, Amanda Learmond, Taylor Tenut, Jeanne Tenut, Jason Mallon, Joseph Tenut, Holly Miller Sibert, Andrew Tenut, Noah Tenut, and Jackson Tenut. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews and friends. Lastly Jeanette is survived by her late husband Herb’s family and extended family.
A celebration of Jeanette’s life will be held at a later date.
