Jeffrey J. Hueckman

Jeffrey J. Hueckman, 72, of Prentice, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Aspirus Hospital, Wausau, WI. Jeff was born on December 9, 1951, in Phillips, to Stan and Helen (Bagley) Hueckman. 

Jeff grew up in Prentice and graduated from Prentice High School in 1969. He then served in the military with the United States Army, with time spent in Korea, as a Helicopter Medivac. He married Barbara Weinzatl on August 7, 1976, and they spent 47 wonderful years together. Jeff worked as a pulp truck driver and heavy equipment operator, and retired from Price Electric Company after 20 years of service. He loved the outdoors and loved spending time at his hunting shack, along with his numerous canine companions. He was a proud life member of the VFW Post 8491 of Prentice, and the NRA. 

He is survived by his best friend and wife, Barb; mother, Helen Hallberg; sister, Teresa Zielke; brother, Bradley Hueckman; brother-in-law, Dale Heikkinen; numerous nieces, nephews, and many family friends. 

Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Stanley Hueckman; sister, Patricia Heikkinen; brother, Charles Hueckman; and father and mother-in-law, Martin and Loretta Weinzatl. 

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
