Jerry Forsberg, age 69, N11611 Roberts Rd., Tomahawk, passed away September 12, 2011 at his residence under home hospice care.
Jerry was born July 17, 1942 in Chicago, the son of John and Anna (Luthala) Forsberg. He grew up in Round Lake, Illinois, and moved to Tomahawk in 1964. He married Lila Mae Lee in 1966 in Brantwood; she passed away November 24, 1990. Jerry served in Vietnam with the Army Corps of Engineers from 1966 - 1969. He was a member of the American Legion Bronsted Searl Post #93 in Tomahawk, serving on the funeral honors program. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, and a Vice Commander of the Lincoln County DAV. Jerry earned a degree in Liberal Arts from Nicolet College. He was employed with Twist Drill in Rhinelander for a few years, and was later employed with Nelson's from 1980 until his retirement in 2005. Jerry pursued art and music all his life. He owned Forsberg's Record Party, and played the accordion at local nursing homes. He was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and a current member of Grace Lutheran Church and Northwoods Vineyard Church in Tomahawk.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Lila Mae, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
Funeral Services with Military Rites for Jerry Forsberg will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011 from Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. The family will receive friends at Grace Lutheran Church from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14th, and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial with Military Rites will follow services at Union Grove Cemetery in Harshaw.
