JOAN WYWIALOWSKI
Joan A. Wywialowski, 79, Phillips, Town of Worcester, died in the Friendly Village Nursing Home in Rhinelander on Sunday, May 6, 2018. She was born in Escanaba, Michigan, on July 8, 1938. She was a 1956 graduate of the Bark River Harris High School. In 1958 she became an employee of Bell Telephone Company of Chicago, Illinois, and worked there until July of 1966. She was married to Paul Wywialowski on June 2, 1962, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Perronville, Michigan. On July 25, 1966, they moved to the Town of Worcester where they purchased a dairy farm. They operated the dairy farm until the time of their retirement in 2006. She attended Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips, she was a member of Post Number 50 of the American Legion Auxiliary, was an active 4H Club Leader, was a member of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, and had served as a Supervisor for the Township of Worcester.
She is survived by one daughter, Lauren (Mike) Ball, Town of Worcester; by three brothers, Charles “Chuck” Zawacki, Escanaba, MI, and Paul (Lorraine) Zawacki, Bark River, MI, and Thomas, Augusta, GA; and by one sister, Beverly (Art) Ziebell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, on October 28, 2007; by one son, Roger; and by her parents, Katherine and Charles Zawacki.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 2, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips with Deacon Chet Ball officiating. Inurnment will be in the Saint Patrick Cemetery in Phillips. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, June 2, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
