Joan Drefahl Kallerud Kloss, age 78, Tomahawk, passed away August 27, 2010 at her daughter's home in Rhinelander under home hospice care.
Joan was born December 20, 1931 in Greenfield, the daughter of George and Martha (Wagner) Drefahl. She was married to Harold Kloss in 1977 in Milwaukee; he passed away in 1990. For 23 years, Joan was the Deli Manager for National Food. She then went to work for Milwaukee Electric Tool, and in 1978 she moved to Harshaw, where she owned and operated Oneida Lake Resort for 15 years until her retirement in 1993. Joan was very active with the local snowmobile clubs, and was the Treasurer for Northwoods Passage for 28 years and Treasurer for Harshaw Wanderers for 12 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tomahawk.

Joan is further survived by 24 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and 2 step children.
Funeral Services for Joan Kloss will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of services at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee.
