JoAnn Collins

JoAnn Collins, age 76, W5089 Collins Lane, Tomahawk, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. JoAnn was born April 4, 1935 in Monico, the daughter of Christian and Iva (Singer) Carlson. She married George Collins on September 11, 1963 in Illinois; he passed away on January 2, 1996. JoAnn was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Southern Center in Union Grove for 30 years. She was a resident of the Tomahawk area for the past 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, wildlife and animals - especially birds. She was a member of the Tomahawk Red Hat Society. Survivors include: Children Susan Tyykila Tomahawk Kim Collins Atwater, Minnesota George (Sharon) Collins Otsego, Minnesota Lynn (Marc) Soma Lindstrom, Minnesota Brother David (Pat) Carlson Clintonville JoAnn is further survived by 9 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter - Kay, grandson - Clint, and son-in-law - Ed. No Services will be held.
