Joann A Petty

Joann Alice Petty, 87, of Phillips, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 18, 2023, at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill, WI.

Joann was born on June 6, 1936, in Phillips, WI, to Clarence and Anna (Moravek) Tauschmann.

She married the love of her life and best friend, Daniel D. Petty, on May 25, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois.

Joann attended and graduated from Phillips High School in Phillips, WI.  She worked at Phillips Plastics for 25 years.
  
She is survived by her two sons, Daniel (Terri) of Lebanon, OH, and Mark (Tianna) of Catawba WI., by 3 grandchildren, Christian (Jess), Phoenix (Jay), and Josh; and one great-grandchild, Riley; sister, Rosemarie (Al) Gismondo of West Dundee, IL; brothers, Walt (Fran) Holt of Georgetown, TX and Edward Belan of Phillips, WI.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Daniel.

Joann enjoyed her family, reading, playing cards, feeding the birds and deer, Friday night fish fries, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 655 S. Lake Ave, Phillips, WI, 54555, with Father Lourdu Raju Madanu officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church and continue until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Phillips, WI.  Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
