Joanne C.Bendrick, 85 died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, WI.

Joanne was born February 20, 1930, in Grand Rapids, MN to Lawrence and Margaret Olson. She graduated from Wausau High School in 1948. She married the love of her life James Bendrick, on June 6, 1951. Together they raised 5 children: Steven Bendrick, Cathy (Ray) Knapstein, Arbor Vitae; Wendy (Greg) Bassett, Hazelhurst; Kris (Pete) Mutschler, Prescott; and Julie (Pete) Holdridge, Hatley,

Joanne worked for 20 years as a Postal Clerk in the Woodruff Post Office. She was involved with the Dr. Kate Museum and knitting prayer shawls. In her younger years she enjoyed performing in stunt night, snowmobiling and women’s circle. Her hobbies included knitting, cross stitching, crossword puzzles and gardening.

She is survived by her 4 daughters, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Margaret Olson; husband, James; her son, Steven; her grand-daughter Robyn Bendrick; and her great grandson, Roland Mundschau-Holdridge.

Funeral services are being held at Nimsgern Funeral Chapel on February 22, 2016. Visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a Funeral Service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Forest Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff.
