Joanne Foster

Joanne M. Foster, age 69, N11445 Cty. Rd. A., Tomahawk, passed away October 21, 2007 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. Joanne was born July 14, 1938 in Merrill to Dan and Edith (Stoneberg) Osero. She married Graham Foster on August 13, 1960 in Tomahawk; he survives. Joanne was a long-time resident of the Tomahawk area, working as a Physical Education teacher for 20 years before retiring in 1993. She was a former swimming and CPR instructor for Nicolet College. She graduated from St. Olaf College in 1960. Joanne enjoyed knitting, golf, spending winters in Tucson, Arizona, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: Husband Graham Foster, Jr. of Tomahawk Son Curt (Christine) Foster of Tomahawk Daughter Carey (Dan) Foster-Hanke of Tomahawk Brother Dan (Claudia) Osero of Tomahawk Grandchildren Jessica and Devin Foster Destiny, Daniel, Serena Jo Hanke Joanne is further survived by many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Joanne Foster will be held on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Ziemer will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Memorials are appreciated to the Grace Lutheran Building Fund.
