John H. Heeren, age 48, of Rux Road, Woodruff, passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, September 6, 2016.
John was born February 7, 1969 in Wausau to Martin Heeren and the late Kay Pierce. He graduated from Reedsburg Webb High School in 1989. John proudly served four years in the United States Navy. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his father, Martin (Susan) Heeren of Tomahawk; his brother, Martin (Macarena) Heeren & his sisters, Bonnie (Mark) Obois, Sandra (Greg) Deakin, and Tracy Pierce. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Max and Hans Obois, Stephanie, Martin, Jr. and Cody Heeren, and Kayla Deakin. John is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother, and beloved wife, Trina.
A celebration of John’s life will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Luke Lutheran Church, 377 Rogers Street, in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin. His cremains will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
