John Swarmer

John C. Swarmer, age 66, of Tomahawk, passed away on November 20, 2016 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. John was born on January 24, 1950 in Rome, New York to Earl & Ida Swarmer. John started off working for Bell City Amusements, where he met his wife, Betty Brown; they married in 1969. John started working for the Lincoln County Highway Department in 1969 until his retirement in 2005. He owned and operated Swarmer’s Discount from 1985 until the present time. John enjoyed hunting, fishing & shopping but most of all, he cherished his time with his family, especially his grandchildren. John is survived by his wife, Betty Swarmer, of Tomahawk; his son, Schenley Swarmer, of Tomahawk; his daughter, Tori (Jay) Berg, of Grand Rapids, MI; and 5 grandchildren, Michael, Lance, Mahala, Amelia and Willow. He is preceded in death by his parents, step mother, 2 step brothers, 1 brother and 1 sister. The Funeral Service for John Swarmer will take place at 7:00PM on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Visitation will take place at the Funeral Home from 5:00PM until the time of service at 7:00PM. The Krueger Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
