Joyce A. Klchosky
Joyce A. Klchosky 88, Township of Elk, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at her home under the care of Flambeau Home Health Care and her family. She had made her home at Park Manor Nursing Home Park Falls since 2012.
She was born on June 19, 1927, in Staples, Minnesota, the daughter of Clarence and Bessie (Miller) Rollins. She spent her early life and schooling in Staples, Minn. She was married to John Klchosky Sr. on January 31, 1944, in Phillips. He preceded her in death in 1999. She was employed at various occupations during her working career including at the Café” DeNapoli, in Minneapolis, a cook for the Phillips School District, owner and operator with her husband of Mapleview Greenhouse from 1979 to 1995, an employee of Norco Windows in Hawkins for 22 years, and as a bookkeper for the Assessors Office for the Town of Elk.
She enjoyed bowling, gardening, square dancing, playing cards, fishing, sewing, knitting, crocheting, the families annual Fourth of July celebrations, the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and the Phillips Loggers.
She is survived by 3 children: John , Jr. (Lois) Round Lake, Ill., Diana (Richard) Gambeski) Maplewood, Minn., and Nancy Fisher, Phillips, by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, by 2 brothers: Raymond and David Rollins, and by 1 sister LaVOnne Rouffean..
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband John Sr. in 1999, by 4 brothers: Ivan, Richard, Alan, and Clayton Rollins, and by 1 sister Mavis Wilhelm.
A family service will be held at a later date with Pastor Jason Bridges of Word of Life Family Church officiating. Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Phillips.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
