Judith (Judy) Marie Raleigh, 77, of Prentice, passed away on November 9, 2023, at the
Waterford in Park Falls, Wisconsin.
Judy was born to Frank and Josephine (Pesko) Regner, on September 13, 1946, in Phillips, WI. She
graduated from Prentice High School and on September 19, 1964, married Art Raleigh at St. John the
Baptist Catholic Church in Prentice. Judy loved and was devoted to her family. She enjoyed flowers,
gardening, cooking, and traveling to the National Parks. Yellowstone was her favorite park to visit. She
was an active member of St. John’s, serving on the Saint Ann’s Altar Society and as a reader for many
years. She enjoyed her time in the Prentice Investment Club. Although Judy enjoyed many crafts, she
was an excellent seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed many hours of sewing for her family and quilting
with the Northwoods Quilters and with her special Red Wagon quilting club members in Rhinelander.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Art; their children, Edward (Lynn) Raleigh, Lynne (Marty)
Gunderson, and Craig (Rebekah) Raleigh; and by grandchildren Mycal, Emma (David), Patrick, Elizabeth,
Sarah, Katherine, Owen, and Julia. Judy is also survived by siblings Edward (Susie) Regner, James (Ellen)
Regner, Sarah (Jerry) Larson, and Patricia Wakkinen.
The family extends a special thank you to Paul Jensen for his friendship and support. The family also
thanks the compassionate staff of The Waterford of Park Falls and Home Health and Hospice.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Saint John’s
Catholic Church, 935 Town St, Prentice, WI 54556. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. and continue until the
start of service. Burial will take place in the Prentice Cemetery. A lunch will be served at Saint John’s
following the burial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. John’s Church in Prentice, WI. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
