Julie A. Minor

November 26, 1967 — February 1, 2022

Julie Ann Minor (Granberg), 54, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with lymphoma on Tuesday, the 1st of February, 2022, under the diligent care of the Mayo Clinic Hospital staff in Rochester, MN. Julie was born on November 26, 1967, to Don Ackerman and Karen Granberg in Medford, WI.

Julie’s path in life provided her with many opportunities to share her joyful laughter and vibrant personality. She held many titles through life such as nursing assistant, waitress, bus driver, and auctioneer, but she was the most-proud of and cherished the titles of grandma, mom and wife. Most recently, Julie devoted her love and attention to her husband Ed who she met on a beach in Florida. Julie lived with Ed on their farm in Ridgeland, WI, where she enjoyed gardening, watching the birds, and spoiling her cats, Miss Kitty, Baby, Charlie, Atreyu, Blacky, and four chickens.

Those who knew Julie, knew that she was at home in the kitchen. Her love to provide for others and excellent baking skills led to more than one ruined diet plan. Many people enjoyed the results of her canning, jelly, and jam products. She enjoyed scouring resale shops and antique malls for treasures.

Julie is survived by her husband, Ed Minor; mother, Karen Granberg; father, Don (Pat) Ackerman; sister, Lynn “Sissy” Granberg; brothers, Ron Granberg and Jacob Ackerman; daughter, Bethany (Jeff) Meachen; son, James Gustafson; grandchildren, Emma and Ben Meachen, and Briella Gustafson.

She is preceded in death by her adopted father, Keith Granberg.
