KAREN HEIZLER
Karen A. Heizler, 73, Phillips, died in Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. She was born on June 26, 1943, in Phillips, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Heaser) Plein. She was a 1961 graduate of the Phillips High School. She was married to Bob Heizler in Saint Mary’s Church in Phillips on May 19, 1962. She was employed as a waitress at the Rafters in Milwaukee for many years. In her free time she enjoyed travel and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; by one son, Rick (Tina Lentz), Phillips; by one daughter, Jennifer (Don) Henderson, Hastings, MN; by two grandchildren, Steven and Savannah; by two brothers, Donald (Bonnie), Phillips, and Arvid (Kathryn), Weston, WI; and by one sister-in-law, Joann Plein, Phillips. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 15, at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Phillips. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the VFW Hall in Phillips The family suggests that memorials take the form of an offering to Childrens Cancer Research at St. Jude in Karen’s name. Interment services will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Phillips on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 1:00 P.M.
