Karen Louise Lukes, 73, of Prentice, WI, passed away on November 5th, 2024. She was a devoted mother, always there when needed, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A cherished member of the Prentice community, Karen’s legacy of kindness, strength, and perseverance will be remembered by all who knew her.
Karen was known for her incredible work ethic and determination. She loved fishing and spending time with her family. She was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, often embarking on trips across the United States. Her adventurous spirit and love for life were evident in everything she did. Karen also had a passion for cooking and was famous for her delicious biscuits and gravy, as well as her Chicken Paprikash, which were family favorites. You could often find her challenging you to a game of marbles or dice, always ready to kick your butt in a game. These moments will be missed the most.
She was the beloved daughter of Don and Anna Lukes. Karen is survived by her two sons, Jayson and Robbie Hollingsworth; her sister, Theresa Lukes; her brothers, Frank, Chuck, and Paul Lukes; and her daughters-in-law, Constance and Crystal Hollingsworth. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Zach Hollingsworth, Colton Kurth, Nathan Hollingsworth, Austin Hollingsworth, Jacob Hollingsworth, Hunter Hollingsworth, Autumn Hollingsworth, and Tabitha Hollingsworth. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren: Zemiriah Chatley, Weston Hollingsworth, and Danny Hollingsworth.
Karen’s warmth, generosity, hardworking nature, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Celebration of Life for Karen will be held on Monday, November 25th from 12 noon to 4:00 pm at the Railroad Avenue Recreational Center in Prentice, WI
