Kate A. Gane

Kate Gane, age 63, of Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 surrounded by her family at her home under the care of Ministry Hospice.

Kate was born on November 17, 1954 in Tomahawk to James and Ruth (Kuehling) Winker. She married Thomas R. Gane on August 19, 1972 also in Tomahawk. She had been a rural letter carrier with the United States Post Office for 31 years. She retired in 2014. Kate enjoyed crafting, quilting, trap shooting, and 4 wheeling. Kate treasured time spent with family, especially her “sister’s get-a-ways” and her granddaughters. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Kate is survived by her husband of 46 years – Tom; her son – Gregory (Mary) Gane, of Tomahawk; and two granddaughters – Anna (Andrew Sherwin) Gane & Emma Gane. She is further survived by her siblings – Mary Kinlein, Don (Lori) Winker, Bill (Lucille) Winker, Jane Reed, and Nancy (Jerry) Kall. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sue.

A Memorial Service for Kate Gane will take place at 11:00AM on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Tomahawk. Pastor Greg Laska will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM in the church. Krueger Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
