KATHLEEN MARIE BRIETZKE
Kathleen M. Brietzke, 66, Township of Knox-Brantwood, died on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Lakeside Villa, Phillips under the care of her family and Flambeau Home Health Care and Hospice. She was born on May 23, 1948, in Phillips, the daughter of Urho and Elma (Solo) Keskinen. She attended and graduated Tripoli High School, Class of 1966. She then went on to attend and graduated from the Eau Claire School of Beauty Culture with a degree as a hairstylist. She was married to Denis M. Brietzke on October 28, 1967, in Tomahawk. He preceded her in death.
She was a self- employed hairstylist and worked at Palmquist’s The Farm for many years prior to her retirement. In her free time she was a vendor at the St. Germaine Flea Market, enjoyed crafts especially sewing, travel, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Brantwood Election Board for many years.
She is survived by her 2 children: Rebecca (Epi) Atencio, Ozark, Alabama, and Scott (Carrie) Brietzke, Phillips, by 2 grandsons: Aron Atencio and Sean Brietzke, aand by 1 sister Shirley (Robert) Wasti, Hastings, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Denis on August 26, 2004.
Per her wishes cremation and a private family service was held.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips was in charge of the arrangements.
