Keith Warren Smith passed away at Aspirus Regency House in Phillips on August 16, 2014. He was born on December 27, 1924, to Isabel and Arthur Smith of Minong. He attended School in Minong through the 10th grade before joining the U.S. Navy after Pearl Harbor. He married Doris Jane Ritchie of Rice Lake in 1948. He was employed for 31 years as an electrician/lineman for the City of Milwaukee and belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He retired in 1985.
Keith and Doris moved to Phillips in 1992. Doris passed away shortly after their 50th wedding anniversary. Keith was preceded in death by his brothers Marion “Punk” and Lyndon “Lennie. Keith is survived by his brother Glen of Minong, his daughter Shirley, and his sons Dave and Ron. Shirley and Ron reside in Phillips. Dave lives on Catalina Island.
