Kenneth K. Crass, age 70, of N8766 Lakeview Drive, Tomahawk, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at his home following a 5 month battle with cancer.
Ken was born on February 10, 1941 in Tomahawk to the late Arthur and Vera (Young) Crass. He married Georgeanne Miller on June 3, 1967 in Thomaston, Alabama. Ken had been called into active duty with the National Guard during the Berlin Crisis. He had a Masters Degree in Public Service Administration from UW Oshkosh and another Masters degree from Florida State University in Social Work. Ken had worked for the State of Wisconsin Division of Family Services in Rhinelander for 15 years and had served as District Director of Vocational Rehabilitation in Wausau for 15 years, he retired in 1996. Ken had volunteered for the Salvation Army, Tomahawk Historical Society, served on the board of directors for Our Way and the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Wisconsin and had been active with the Learning and Retirement board at Nicolet College. In his spare time Ken enjoyed cooking, canning, beekeeping, gardening, hunting, and was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church. Surviving Ken are:

Funeral Services with Military Rites for Ken Crass will be held on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Ziemer will officiate. Friends may call at Krueger Family Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10 am until the time of services at the church.
