Laina Keskinen-Reed

Laina Keskinen - Reed, age 92, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Golden Living Center- Golden Age in Tomahawk. Laina was born on December 2, 1919 in Michigan to Matt and Hanna (Karhula) Mattson. She and her family moved to the Tripoli area when she was 7 months old. Laina attended Tripoli Grade School. She was married to Felix Keskinen in 1938, in 1959 she married Edward Mantyla; he passed away in 1976. In December of 1995 Laina married Albert Reed. He died in 2006. Laina lived in the Tripoli and Clifford area for many years, and was formerly employed at the Tomahawk Boat Factory. She also worked for many years at Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee. Survivors include: 3 Sons, James Keskinen Tomahawk Arthur (Marie) Keskinen Tomahawk Charles (Jolyn) Keskinen Dundee, WI Laina is further survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 husbands, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers. Funeral Services for Laina Reed will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Krueger Family Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Gary Uttech will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday 12:00 Noon until the time of services at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the spring at Somo Cemetery in Tripoli.
