LARRY RICHARD PLYER
Larry R. Plyer, 69, Township of Worcester, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at his home.
He was born on April 9, 1946, in Phillips, the son of Frank and Hulda (Stanke) Plyer. He spent his entire life in the Phillips area. He attended and graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1964. He was married to Janet Granberg on April 11, 1970, in Prentice.
He was employed by Sam Neeck in Park Falls in concrete delivery and setup and also owned and operated Plyer Logging for many years prior to his retirement in 2006.
He and his wife Janet celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on April 9, 2015.
In his free time he was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Janet, Township of Worcester, by 1 son Frank (Erin) Plyer, Prentice, and by 3 sisters: Lorraine Asquith, Kent, Wash., Shirley (Jim) Chizek, Lodi, Wi., and Barbara (Syl) Hraban, Minocqua.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by 1 brother Frank Plyer, and by 1 sister Florence Fusak.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, with Pastor Thomas Reiff officiating. Inurnment will be in the Emery Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:30 P.M. on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at the Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
