Lawrence "Larry" Borowski, age 54, 4660 Cty. Hwy. Y, Hazelhurst, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at his residence. Larry was born July 18, 1957 in Milwaukee, the son of Anthony Sr. and Audrey (Rolke) Borowski. He was raised in Milwaukee, and served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Larry was formerly employed with Liquid Lakes Terminal, St. Francis Hospital, and Red Star Yeast, all in Milwaukee. He married Bonnie Kowalczyk on May 25, 1985 in Milwaukee. Larry and Bonnie moved to the Tomahawk area, and have owned and operated Little Rice Resort with Larry's brother Frank and his wife Jane since 1996. He was also employed with Red Arrow Liquid Smoke in Rhinelander. Larry was a whiz on the computer, and enjoyed a good cigar, golfing, and bowling. Survivors include: Wife Bonnie Borowski Hazelhurst Mother Audrey Borowski Milwaukee Step Sons Joseph (Stephanie) Gorgas, Sr. Oak Creek Nicholas Gorgas Oak Creek Sister Susan (Mark) Burzynski Milwaukee Brothers Anthony (Kerry) Borowski Menasha Francis (Jane) Borowski, Sr. Hazelhurst George (Susan) Borowski Milwaukee Larry is further survived by grandchildren - Joseph Jr., MacKenzie, and Dominic, nieces, nephew, great nephew, and great nieces. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Services with Military Rites for Lawrence "Larry" Borowski will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2011 from Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Pastor Larry Mathein will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 1:00 p.m. Memorials in Larry's name are appreciated to the family.
