Leola 'Lee' Giusto Mann, age 100, Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Golden Living Center - Golden Age in Tomahawk.
Leola was born August 11, 1913 in St. George, Illinois, the daughter of Phillip and Theonine (Dupuis) LeSage. She was married to Dominic Giusto; he passed away in 1974. She later married Francis Mann; he died in 1993. During World War II, Leola became a certified aluminum welder and worked on military aircraft. She was employed for 27 years with Bear Brand Hosiery in Kankakee, and retired from Little Corporal, also in Kankakee. In the 1950s, she attended the Anton Pope Cooking School, and later owned Key City Lunch and Key City Restaurant in Kankakee. Leola enjoyed watching Chicago Cubs and Bulls games, bird watching, flower gardening, and decorating. She was a former member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Kankakee.
Leola is survived by her daughter, Joan Giusto, of Tomahawk, WI. Leola was preceded in death by a son, Myron 'Mike' Giusto; grandson, Marc Giusto; brother, Eugene; six sisters, Ethel Brouillette, Bernadette LaFine, Brunette Ray, Freida Soucie, Regina Randall, and Jeanette Grey.
A Memorial Service for Leola will be held at a later date.
