Leonard Weizenicker

Leonard 'Len' Weizenicker, age 79, W6426 Nokomis Drive, Tomahawk, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk. Len was born December 2, 1933 in Tomahawk, the son of Emil and Marie (Musch) Weizenicker. He married Carolyn Scott on February 26, 1954 in Bessemer, Michigan. Len spent two years serving his country in the National Guard. He was employed with Owens-Illinois for forty years, retiring in 1995. In his spare time, Len enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing, snowmobiling, antique outboards, and trips to the boundary waters. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include, wife, Carolyn Weizenicker, Tomahawk; children Connie Weizenicker, Honolulu, Hawaii, Keith (Tina) Weizenicker, Tomahawk, Jamie (Amy) Weizenicker, Tomahawk. Len is further survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, son - Tim, grandson - Adam, three brothers, and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial for Leonard Weizenicker will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Father John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
