Leroy E. Albright, age 80, of Wausau, formerly of the Willow area near Tomahawk, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Leroy was born on November 17, 1936 in Greenwood, Wisconsin to Leo and Helen (Plautz) Albright. He was married to Gloria Clements on November 7, 1959, she passed away in 1983. On July 27, 1985 Leroy married Sandra Boykins at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. He served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam war. Leroy started out working at Marathon Electric as a draftsman. From 1969 to 1983 he owned and operated Willow’s End Resort. Leroy also drove school bus for the Tomahawk School District for 24 years, he served as fire chief for the town of Little Rice for 25 years, and Captained the Wilderness Queen cruise boat on the Willow Flowage for 11 years. He had been employed at Krueger Floral in Wausau for the past 17 years and was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Wausau.

Leroy is further survived by 3 grandchildren, Hannah, Theodore (TJ), and Gloria.
A Memorial Mass for Leroy Albright will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Church of the Resurrection in Wausau. Fr. William Grevatch will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Thursday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. and again on Friday at the church in Wausau from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Military Rites will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Krueger Family Funeral Home.
