Lesly Macki

Lesly E, Macki, age 85, Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk. Lesly was born August 23, 1924 in Brantwood, the son of James and Hilma (Aho) Maki. He attended Tripoli High School, where he played on the basketball team. Lesly was an MP for the U.S. Army serving in WWII, and received the Victory Medal. He was a logger in the Tripoli/Brantwood area. Survivors include: Sister Irene Granholm Cloquet, Minnesota Lesly is further survived by 1 brother-in-law, 2 sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services with Military Tribute for Lesly Macki will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from Krueger Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
