Lorene Schiltz

Lorene "Renie" Schiltz, age 93, a lifelong Nokomis area resident, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Renie was born October 5, 1921 in the town of Cassian to Arthur and Laura (Fredricks) White. She married James A. Schiltz on October 12, 1947 in Tomahawk. She was born and raised in the Nokomis area. She enjoyed flower gardening, baking, and playing cards. Renie was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, a former member of the Ruth Circle at Grace and the Sunshine Club in the town of Nokomis. Survivors include: Daughter, Sheila (Gary) Jaecks Tomahawk Sons, William (Barbara) Schiltz Tomahawk George (Carla) Clements Lac du flambeau Brother, Robert (Carol) White Tomahawk Renie is further survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one great granddaughter, 4 brothers, and 5 sisters. Funeral services for Lorene "Renie" Schiltz will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. from Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Ziemer will officiate. Burial will be in the spring at Prairie Rapids Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11. The Krueger Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
